A sweet Instagram video from @renegadethegooddog shows Renegade, a trained service and sport dog, but at home, she is just a proud family helper. In the video, the dog joins mom and her baby during a project on the floor and treats the whole thing like an important job, showering her mom with kisses and as much support as she can offer. In fact, her mom would not want it any other way.
Dog helping mom and little baby with project comes with tail wags and kisses
Before showering her mom with kisses, the dog picks up a piece of paper and brings it over to mom, who is sitting on the floor with her little baby. Mom asks, “Can I have it?” and Renegade drops it right into her hand, getting a warm “thank you” in return.
Mom then offers her another item and asks, “Do you want this?” Renegade takes it right away, and after a pleased “good,” mom asks, “Can you help sissy?” while pointing toward the little girl. Renegade moves across the space, circles to the other side, and hands the item over to Mom again, earning another “thank you.”
Mom keeps one eye on the baby and one eye on Renegade, praising both as they go. When the little girl drops something, mom says, “That’s okay,” in a calm, cheerful voice before carrying on, while also giving Renegade another item with “Here you go,” and then opening her hands in anticipation of the dog returning the item. Once again, the dog steps in and places it back in mom’s palm.
After helping with her mom and the little baby with the project, the dog comes close for licks and gets kisses from mom in return, the only suitable reward for all the hard work.
The on-screen caption reads, “real life with a dog who just wants to help” and “if only all projects came with a tail wag.” Meanwhile, the caption under the video adds, “She just wants to help — whether it’s building, carrying things, or just being part of it,” and mom clarifies, “I wouldn’t have it any other way. And honestly, no other dog lover would, either.
