A funny and surprisingly relatable video shared by the Instagram account @ourpackofpines shows what happens when one dog decides it’s her duty to uphold house rules, no matter the consequences for her furry sibling. What makes the video so charming isn’t just the stick; it’s the Border Collie Knox’s body language.

The account, run by a family living in the English countryside, documents life with their dogs, Knox and Penny, blending everyday dog chaos with humor. The page has 146 posts and over 2,200 followers. Its bio proudly describes “two pups and their humans,” along with “Doggy chaos (and how to survive it).”

In this viral clip, one simple house rule becomes the focal point: no sticks inside the house. The video opens with Penny, one of the dogs, casually lounging with a stick indoors, clearly unconcerned about the rules. That’s when Knox steps in. Instead of joining in the fun, Knox immediately alerts the owners, as if filing an official complaint. Her expression says everything: this situation must be handled immediately.

The text overlay in the video reads: “One of our rules is: no sticks in the house. Luckily, Knox came to notify us about the crime. She was not amused.” The caption sums it up perfectly: “We have free police in the house.” The clip has already crossed 40,000 views.

Viewers instantly recognized the behavior, and the comments section filled with stories of dogs who take rule enforcement very seriously. One user shared, “My chocolate lab always told my hound mix—he would come sit by me, and I knew immediately the hound had done something yet again.” Another wrote, “I love how she looks at you like ‘well, do something about this.’” Others chimed in with, “Had an Aussie shepherd that was the fun police,” and “True border collie policing.”
