We only have so many brain cells to get us through the day, and a dog named Sukka brings the “final brain cell” energy into the room in a hilarious video from Instagram user @sukkatheiggy. In the video, the Italian Greyhound sits calmly until her mom starts singing. The tune is a popular internet meme track called the “final brain cell” song, and Sukka’s immediate reaction stays true to the song’s context and meme-speak.

The video highlights the dog frantically dancing to the “final brain cell” meme song. It only takes the owner to mimic the chaotic audio and the “Ninininuuu, ninininunu” soundbite for the Iggy to stand on the grey cushions and hop up and down aggressively. Sukka’s mouth hangs open as she bounces, proving that she is having the time of her life.

Moreover, her movements perfectly mirror the absurdity of the audio, as the dog’s owner referred to the “brain cell” bit and captioned the video, “Holding on to it.. ?”.

There is a mechanism for how dogs process sudden noise. Sighthounds like Italian Greyhounds react sharply to auditory triggers, and especially high-pitched or repetitive singing causes a rapid spike in their energy. Because these dogs possess intense energy reserves, they must release that sudden tension physically, and Sukka’s rapid bouncing acts as a release to burn off the sudden burst of excitement.

Viewers in the comment section embraced the dog’s bizarre performance with open arms. One viewer watched the repetitive stomping and joked, “She’d be great at CPR!!” while another commenter quipped, “This is what I paid my internet bills for.” Moreover, a third user observed, “2 brain cells fighting for 3rd place but he’s happy to be here.” Someone even joked that she has “The ‘only’ brain cell” — and looking at her face, it really does seem like she is functioning on that last brain cell with her mom.
