Hudson is usually busy being a school therapy dog in the NJ area with his teacher mom. So he’s basically a professional at keeping his cool even when the world is a giant marshmallow. In this video, she decides to ditch the leash entirely to see what happens. Spoiler alert: Hudson emerges as the goodest boy.
Golden Retriever listens to owner even while walking without a leash
When the clip opens, we see Hudson in his full winter gear: boots, coat, the whole nine yards, and he is just beaming. Like, the dog cannot stop smiling. On-screen text says, “I took off my dog’s leash…” and your brain immediately prepares for chaos. But then she stops walking. And Hudson stops too. He just halts right next to her like that was always the plan.
Then, Mom asks him to smile. And he actually does it. He makes his face even wider.
